Intensive Parent Training and Support Program Overview

Proven to increase parent/caregivers' non-punitive discipline and guidance skills/knowledge.

Achievement Rate Goal: 60% of participants will increase their knowledge/skills to meet the minimum outcome goal of 10%.

  • 94% of IPTS parent/caregivers reported at least a 10% increase in their ability to identify their strengths as a family.
  • 94% of IPTS parent/caregivers reported at least a 10% increase in their use of positive parenting techniques.
  • 99% of IPTS parent/caregivers reported at least a 10% increase in their knowledge of age-appropriate child development & behaviors.
  • 98% of IPTS parent/caregivers reported at least a 10% increase in their knowledge/awareness of their parental role and responsibilities.

  • Parent/caregivers reported a 23%* increase in their use of positive parenting techniques.
  • Parent/caregivers reported a 26%* increase in their knowledge of age-appropriate child development & behaviors.
  • Parent/caregivers reported a 16%* increase in their knowledge/awareness of their parental roles & responsibilities.
From 13 or more sessions of Intensive Parent Training and Support services (39 sessions average):
  • Parent/caregivers reported an 18%* increase in their use of non-punitive communication/interactions with their children.
  • Parent/caregivers reported a 24%* increase in their ability to identify their family strengths.
  • Parent/caregivers reported a 27%* increase in their use of positive parenting techniques.
  • Parent/caregivers reported a 29%* increase in their knowledge of age-appropriate child development & behaviors.
  • Parent/caregivers reported an 18%* increase in their knowledge/awareness of their parental roles & responsibilities.
