Parent Trust has four program areas:
  1. Family Help Line
  2. New and Expectant Parents:
      Great Starts
      Conscious Fathering
  3. Children/Youth, Leadership & Support
  4. Parent Education and Support Network
      The Parent/Caregiver Program
      The Latino Program
      The Families in Recovery Program
      Intensive Parent Training and Support (IPTS)
      Parents As Teachers (PAT)

Together, these programs create a statewide network of support, leadership, education, skill building and child abuse prevention programs for parents/caregivers, youth and children.

Children/ Youth Leadership & Support
This program is a network of education and support groups for children and youth, provided free of charge to families around Washington State.

The Children's Program is a network of groups for children infant through teen years. The focus is on:
  • leadership development
  • early learning
  • connecting to positive, adult and peer role models

The Teen Group is an education and support group for teens, led by a trained facilitator. These groups are for teens ages 15-19. Teens who attend the program can:
  • Get support
  • Help others
  • Build a relationship with a positive, adult role model
  • Learn problem solving skills
  • Have fun!

Family Help Line
The Family Help Line is a free, confidential, statewide support, information and referral service for families which includes the Live Support Line and the Parent Info Line. Services are available in both Spanish and English. The toll-free number is: 1-800-932-HOPE

The Live Support Line is staffed by trained parenting coaches who provide support and information to help parents and caregivers.

When you call the Family Help Line, a family coach will:
  • Listen to your concerns
  • Offer strategies to help you manage your family effectively.
  • Provide information about parenting and child development that can be mailed to your home free of charge.
  • Refer you to parenting classes and resources in your community
The Parent Info Line quickly connects families to current classes and activites in all 39 counties in Washington State. This information is accessible by calling the Family Help Line or by going to the Resource Database section on our website.

Parent Education and Support Network
The Parent Education and Support Network is a network of parent education and support group services provided free of charge to families around Washington State.

The Community Based Program:
  • The Parent/Caregiver Program
  • The Latino Program

The Home Based Program

  • Intensive Parent Training and Support (IPTS)
  • Parents As Teachers (PAT)
The IPTS program is designed to bring family support and parent education to you-wherever you are, or wherever you are most comfortable. For more information, contact program coordinator, Monica Lopez: 509-454-4000 mlopez@parenttrust.org

The PAT program serves families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten (usually age 5), and supports a family's parenting, early child development and school readiness. To learn more about the PAT program, please visit the Parents As Teachers page on our website.


New and Expectant Parent Program
The New and Expectant Parent Program provides parent education in a variety of settings.

The Conscious Fathering Program: Men and Babies...they need each other! All men who are about to be fathers are welcome!
  • Skills for New Dads: classes for expectant and new fathers through hospitals and maternal health organizations.
  • Parental Balance Workshops: for professionals in creating father-inclusive programs.

Our Conscious Fathering Program helps expectant fathers connect with your baby from Day #1, keep your baby as comfortable as possible, have a plan for when "everything goes wrong.", and have fun with a bunch of other new fathers.

Great Starts Program: Great Starts Birth and Family Education Classes help you connect to:

  • Knowledge you need.
  • Community.
  • Your baby.
  • Your own strengths.
