Child & Teen Services
Providing a strong foundation for our children.
Parent Trust for Washington Children is dedicated to providing education and support to children of all ages through our Child and Teen Services. This program has two components, the Children's Group and the Teens' Group.
The Children's Group
This group is for children whose parents are attending one of our Circle of Parents® groups. While getting a brief respite from each other, the entire family can still share in a healthy, positive experience.
How To Participate
Any child at least five weeks old, whose parent, guardian or primary caregiver is attending the Circle of Parents® group connecting to their Children's Group. Teens are welcome as well, but watch out-when they turn eighteen, we hope they become volunteers in the program!
Benefits of participating:
- Increasing social competence skills like friendship building, decision making and stress management.
- Building relationships with positive, adult role models.
- Having fun!
To find out if your Washington State Circle of Parents® group has a Children's Group, please visit our Resource Database or call our Family Help Line at 1-800-932-HOPE.
The Teen Group
The Teen Group is a weekly education and support group for kids 15-18 years old. The teens decide what they want to talk about and, with the help of a professionally trained facilitator, support and help each other solve problems as well as work on positive role modeling.
Benefits of Participating:
- A stronger social support network built through acceptance and belonging in a positive group setting and connection to a positive adult role model.
- Development of life skills such as leadership and the ability to work with others.
- Having fun!
