I didn’t realize that spending time with my kids was important, until [the IPTS] worker brought it to my attention.

Intensive Parent Training & Support
The Intensive Parent Training and Support (IPTS) program brings a trained Parent Educator into the home to help each family gain new skills and learn about resources that will make a difference for their unique family.
IPTS is a free service to families. Most of our families have children 0-10 years of age. We currently serve families in the greater Yakima area.
What Do We Do?
The IPTS Program has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of families. The Parent Educator works with each family to answer the following questions:
- How do I help my children learn and grow so they are ready to succeed in school and life?
- What parenting tools can I use every day to help my children become strong and responsible?
- How do I take care of myself as a parent? How do I keep my stress down and feel good about being a parent?
- What are the community resources that will help my family? What are the steps I need to take to get those resources once I know about them?
How to participate:
You must be referred by a community agency to participate in this program.
