Early Pregnancy
This class is designed for expectant parents in their first five months of pregnancy. People who are planning to conceive are also welcome.In this class, you will learn about health and well-being in pregnancy. This is an interactive class, where parents are encouraged to ask questions!

Class Topics
Class discussion focuses on the issues most important to class participants. Topics typically include:
- what is normal to feel & experience in early pregnancy (both physically and emotionally)
- ways to increase your comfort
- nutrition for healthy development
- prenatal exercise
- stress reduction
- options for birth, including care providers, birth place, doulas, and childbirth education
- a brief look ahead to planning for life with baby.
Logistics
Time/Place: This three-hour class is offered once every 6 weeks at the Parent Trust classroom in the Rainier Valley neighborhood of Seattle.
Our Instructor
Carrie Kenner >> is a labor support doula and childbirth educator. She has studied with Childbirth Education Association of Tacoma and Birthing from Within. Carrie is a doula trainer at Seattle Midwifery School, and teaches Childbirth Education and Doula trainings at Bastyr University. She also offers childbirth education classes through Big Belly Services. She is the mother of three.
The intructor was articulate, knowledgeable, compassionate, and passionate about birth.
