Family Help Line Program Overview
Proven to decrease callers’ stress and increase parenting skills and knowledge.Achievement Rate Goal: 60% of participants will increase their new skills.
Outcome Goal: Callers will increase knowledge by 10%.
Achievement Rate Results: Participants show significant increases in risk-reducing Protective Factors after calling the Family Help Line:
- 98% of callers reported a significant reduction of stress. N=239/li>
- 99% of callers increased their knowledge of family management skills.n=103
- 95% of callers increased their knowledge on how to improve communication and/or interaction with family members. n=88
- 98% of callers increased their knowledge of available resources/supports.n=165
- 98% of callers increased their knowledge of how to advocate for themselves and/or their family after calling the FHL. n=146
Outcome Results: Callers participating in the evaluation reported a:
- 49% decrease in level of stress after calling the FHL.N=239
- 34% increase in knowledge of Family Management Skills after calling the FHL. N=103
- 29% increase in knowledge of how to improve communication and/or interaction with family members after calling the FHL. N=88
- 50% increase in knowledge of available resources/supports after calling the FHL. N=165
- 51% increase in knowledge on how to advocate for themselves and/or their family after calling. N=146
