Parents as Teachers Prenatal to Three Born to Learn® Institute

Parent Trust typically hosts at least one Parents as Teachers Prenatal to Three Born to Learn Institute each year. This intensive five-day training and a sixth day of follow up and technical assistance three to six months after staff begins service delivery is the foundational training that fulfills part of the initial certification requirements of new Parents as Teachers program staff.

 

Program supervisors must attend the first two days of the Institute at a cost of $150, and each program must purchase a Supervisors Manual and Program Administration Guide for $75.

 

Cost for the six days

Cost ranges from $520 to $700 per person, depending on number of training participants.

In addition, each direct service staff person must purchase the Prenatal to Three Born to Learn curriculum that includes three comprehensive binders with both weekly and monthly visit plans. The curriculum also contains resources for staff and handouts for parents on two reading levels and includes a 16 segment video series that can be used on visits or during group meetings. Cost of the curriculum is $295 per direct service staff.
