Background:
Sarah has a background in public health and education. She provides family support and health education in community, health care, and in-home settings.

Philosophy: I believe that parents are the experts in their children, and deserve clear, evidence based information to make the best choices for them. My goal in class is to help parents and caregivers start conversations, build confidence, and inspire them to share with other caregivers in their life.

Additional information: Sarah has a master’s degree from the University of Washington School of Public Health Social and Behavioral Sciences Program, with a focus on injury prevention and social determinants of health.  Her recent work includes drowning prevention, child passenger safety and other areas of child health and safety. She is a master certified health education specialist, an active member of Safe Kids Seattle, an experienced Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), and is certified by the American Heart Association in infant CPR and choking. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and is active in her community.
