Background:
BA (English Literature); Physical Therapy certificate; 49 years teaching; author of books, journal, and magazine articles; Birth doula (retired); Birth Doula Trainer,; Presenter of workshops; lectures, and other presentations to maternity care professionals on a variety of birth related topics in many states and countries. I also counsel parents, doulas, and others on childbearing issues, including early trauma and traumatic birth.

Philosophy:
My role is to use my knowledge and experience to help expectant parents to gain confidence and master skills that contribute to a positive and fulfilling experience as THEY define it. Because they will remember it all their lives, I want to help make this transformative experience a good memory.

Family/Hobbies:
Married 59 years, 4 grown children, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a Pug, Lola.

Favorite Thing About Teaching:
I love being with parents at this transformative time in their lives.
