Classes Taught
Labor and Birth Mini-series
Childbirth Preparation Series (3- or 6-week)

I switched careers from being in the design and construction industry to birthwork in the Summer of 2016. I am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and certified birth doula. 2019 is my first year of formally teaching childbirth education but I have been a teacher/facilitator in various community-based organizations throughout my life.

I hope my students have fun learning in order to maximize retention! I do this by engaging people not only with me but with each other during class activities and discussion in order to foster community beyond our time together.

Family, hobbies, etc.
I live in North Seattle with my wife and two kids. In between teaching and pre/postnatal appointments, I fill my life with color, love, books, superheroes, LEGOs, spirit, family, Minecraft, podcasts, & boy cuddles.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
I am passionate about providing evidenced-based information to all the families I serve and I trust that they will make the best decision for themselves!

Which 4 adjectives would you use to best describe your teaching style:

Is there anything you’d like your students to know about you, or to do prior to coming to class?
I encourage people to read more about me and my birthwork by visiting my website.

What is the most important thing that you hope your students will take away from your class?

What would you like to be doing in 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years, my children will be older so I imagine I’ll be able to do even more of what I’m doing now!
