Great Starts Workshop Faculty

Our lead instructor is Janelle Durham, MSW. Janelle is a certified doula (PALS Doulas) and a childbirth educator (certified with Great Starts, ICEA, and Lamaze). She has also attended trainings for birth professionals offered by Lamaze, ICEA, CAPPA, ALACE, Birthing from Within, Seattle Midwifery School, Evergreen Perinatal Associates, and more, and brings the best ideas from all these trainings to our workshop. Janelle is also the author of TransitionToParenthood.com (you are leaving the Parent Trust website), a website of resources for new childbirth educators.

Off-site classes (those held outside of Seattle) are taught by Janelle only.

On-site classes: For classes at the Parent Trust office in Seattle, Janelle is the lead instructor, and we have additional guest speakers.
