Painted Rocks

Materials:
  • Rocks, stones
  • Acrylic paints
  • Paint brushes
  • Water, cloth for wiping brushes.
Preparation:
For this activity you will need to collect different sizes of stones and rocks. Clean them with soap and water, and dry them, before painting.

Getting started:
Once the rocks are clean and dry, give them to your children and they can decorate them however they choose. They can paint, they can glue glitter, and they can even make them into “creatures” and glue wiggly eyes onto the rocks.

For added shine and permanency, after the paint has dried you can put on a coat of varnish.
